Nick R. Lawson

Founding Partner

Nick Lawson is a co-founder of Lawson & Moshenberg. He is a commercial trial lawyer. Nick’s cases involve fiduciary disputes, multi-party contractual fights, and high stakes tort-meets-bankruptcy litigation. Clients rely on Nick to guide them through their most critical legal problems.

Recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star from 2022 through 2024, Honored Listee by Marquis Who’s Who, and a Top Lawyer by Houstonia Magazine, Nick has not only earned his clients’ praise, but also the bars’.

Prior to co-founding Lawson & Moshenberg, Nick was a partner with McDowell Hetherington LLP, and a Special Assistant United States Attorney in the Southern District of Illinois where he prosecuted white-collar, drug, and gun related criminal cases and represented the United States in appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Nick served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Nancy J. Rosenstengel for the United States District Court for the Southern District of Illinois. Before that, he graduated from the University of Houston Law Center.
